Calcite from Boquillas del Carmen, Coahuila, Mexico, especially from the San Vicente Mine, is famous for being "Terlingua-type" calcite, known for its striking fluorescence (pink under long wave UV, blue/purple under shortwave UV with strong phosphorescence) in milky, translucent masses with pink zones, often forming rhombohedral or dogs-tooth shapes, making it a prized collector's mineral.
We use a 36 watt fluorescent lamp specifically designed for viewing displayed fluorescent minerals. UVC Shortwave-254 nanometers, UVA Longwave-365 nanometers. The lamp was built and designed by "Way Too Cool" of AZ.
Our minerals are photographed dry, and no type of of photo enhancement is employed, as it appears under our lamp is how it photoed and is presented on our listings. We display shortwave photos and long wave photos. Not all UV minerals fluoresce under all UV waves. These items will not fluoresce as shown in our photos with a poster lamp. They will fluoresce as shown if you are using a fluorescent mineral lamp, designed for that purpose.

A black light doesn't work for this purpose.
Please remember there are many factors to consider, such as how your computer monitor displays the photos. Also SW minerals will not fluoresce with most of the UV flashlights.
